Fiberglass Reinforcement

Surface Mat/ Tissue- Offers the highest resin to fiberglass ratio, surface mat is the primary layer for chemical tanks and pipes. The resin-rich layer is in direct contact with the chemical, ensuring corrosion resistance. Use with Bisphenol resin (31-304, R10-33T), Vinylester resin (RF-1001, 31-305) or Isopthalic resin (31-441T)

Chopped Strand Mat (CM)- The most popular type of fiberglass reinforcement is used in virtually all FRP. Planes, trains, cars, and trucks use fiberglass. In the industrial sector, tanks (chemical, underground, wastewater), vases, corrugated and flat sheets, flower boxes are manufactured using fiberglass. Available in CM 230 (also used for water-proofing), CM 300, CM450, and CM 600.

Woven Roving (WR)- Higher Glass to Resin ratio means higher strength. Used in boat hulls, pipes, tank cladding, speaker cladding. Usually combined with Chopped Strand Mat. Available in WR 600 and WR 800.

Woven Cloth (WCL)- Offers highest strength to weight ratio in fiberglass. Excellent for surfboards, airplanes, and other products where lightweight materials are a must. Available in WCL 200 and WCL 300.

Alkali-resistant glass (ARG) chopped strands- is used to reinforce concrete, cement, and calcium silicate products. ARG provides increased strength without the bulk. ARG is used in garden sculptures, pre-fabricated walls, decorative columns, wall décor and appliques. Mix 5% by aggregate (cement, sand, water) weight. Available in original spools and 1”, 2”, 5” repacked.
