POLYPATCH Body Filler
the original body filler from Polymer Products. Re-engineered and improved since its 1970s debut, Polypatch is a high-strength, impact-resistant putty used for car and bus bodies, boats, furniture, drywall, construction, etc. Very smooth, highly sandable and economical- minimized gumming of sand paper
How to Use Polypatch
 
1. Clean out the surface to be POLYPATCHED. Remove all traces of rust, paint, oil and dirt. Sand down to bright metal with a coarse grit #16 to 24) sanding cloth/grinder.
 
2. Wipe the surface with a non-oily cleaner such as acetone or lacquer thinner. DO NOT USE GASOLINE or any oily cleaner.
 
3. Transfer the amount of POLYPATCH to be used on a piece of metal flat sheet, or any suitable flat sheet.
 
4. Add POLYPATCH Hardener, approximately 2% per POLYPATCH weight. Thorough mixing is important! Trowel the Hardener into the POLYPATCH. Pressing, folding, and blending NOT stirring.
 
5. Spread POLYPATCH with putty knife over area being repaired . Press firmly to surface for best adhesion. POLYPATCH may be applied in any thickness of layer, and maybe formed to desired contour or shape
 
6. Let stand for about 30 minutes before filling or sanding to desired finished. Moderate heat can be applied to the POLYPATCH surface if faster cure is desired. Sand to feather edge, Prime, the Paint.
