| Surface Mat/Tissue |
Offers the highest resin to fiberglass ratio, surface mat is the primary layer for chemical tanks and pipes. The resin-rich layer is in direct contact with the chemical, ensuring corrosion resistance. Use with Bisphenol resin (31-304, R10-33T), Vinylester resin (RF-1001) or Isopthalic resin (31-441T). |

| Chopped Strand Mat (CM) |
| The most popular type of fiberglass reinforcement is used in virtually all FRP. Planes, trains, cars, and trucks use fiberglass. In the industrial sector, tanks (chemical, underground, wastewater), vases, corrugated and flat sheets, flower boxes are manufactured using fiberglass. Available in CM 230 (also used for water-proofing), CM 300, CM450, and CM 600. |
| Woven Roving (WR) |
Higher Glass to Resin ratio means higher strength. Used in boat hulls, pipes, tank cladding, speaker cladding. Usually combined with Chopped Strand Mat. Available in WR 600 and WR 800. |
| Woven Cloth (WCL) |
Offers highest strength to weight ratio in fiberglass. Excellent for surfboards, airplanes, and other products where lightweight materials are a must. Available in WCL 200. |
| Alkali-resistant glass (ARG) |
Chopped strands is used to reinforce concrete, cement, and calcium silicate products. ARG provides increased strength without the bulk. ARG is used in garden sculptures, pre-fabricated walls, decorative columns, wall décor and appliques. Mix 5% by aggregate (cement, sand, water) weight. Available in original spools and 1”, 2”, 5” repacked. |
| PPP Chopped Strands (CS) |
Added flexibility in slotted FRP without sacrificing strength, CS is used for cornices, car grills, windows, figures, furniture, floor grating. Available in original spools and in 1”, 2”, 5” repacked. |
| Filament Winding (FW) |
Material of choice for cylindrical products such as pipes and tanks. Filament winding process improves production time; and proper configuration of the continuous strand provides strength and stiffness. Available in original spools. |
| Japan Chopped Strands (JCS) |
Sized 1/16”, this CS reinforcement is designed for thin and/or detailed applications such as figurine head, hands and feet, reinforced putty for boats. Japanese CS is used for thermoplastic resin as well (e.g. nylon soft drink and beer cases, plastic chairs and tables, “tabo” etc.) |
| Milled Fiber |
The ultimate reinforcing “filler” for tiny figurines and repair putty compounds, the cotton-like fiberglass is mixed into the resin prior to use. |
| Combo-Mat |
Save time and energy by wetting out two layers of fiberglass in one go! This combination woven roving and chopped strand mat provides quick build-up and so is a more efficient reinforcing material. |
| Fiberglass Mesh |
Used in construction and maintenance, the fiberglass mesh prevents cracking in surface cement and paint. Also used to back ceramic tiles. |
| Bi-axial & Multi-axial Fiberglass |
For more specialized needs of FRP manufacturers (boat hulls, rocketships, etc), available in 0/45° and 0/90°. |
