Polygloss- Two part polyester-epoxy resin liquid that dries to a tough, high-gloss finish. Polygloss has been used on wooden floors, pebble wash, and tiles. Use Xylol or Polygloss Thinner to thin down/ reduce Polygloss.
Flatte Kote- Sprayed or brushed on, liquid Flatte Kote is used to achieve a frosted glass effect (matte finish) for picture frames, décor, Christmas balls, stained glass. Note the difference on right side of the transparent resin where Flatte Kote was applied.
Gold and Silver Foil- Gives a high luster of gold and silver to a product which ordinary paints cannot. Lockbond glue is first painted on the surface, allowed to dry to a sticky finish. The foil is then placed on the product.
Water-proof Sand paper #120- Cleaning and finishing a resin product? Use the #120 for final fairing and sanding. Wet #120 may be used to buff finished items from figurines to encapsulated objects to model airplanes and boats.
Pearlescent pigment- Achieves the “pearl-ized” look on products. Mix .5%-1% of the powder into Clear Gloss and Lacquer Flo then paint on the surface. May be mixed directly into the resin to make buttons, figurines, appliques, etc.
